On some wide-spaced wire cages, even our large metal washers can only grip two or three bars, which due to the weight could bend the wires over time. This extra-large plastic washer spans several bars at once, spreading the weight. Fitted to the outside of the cage, it clamps against the included metal mounting washer to lock everything firmly in place.
